HubSpot Academy Super Admin Bootcamp - Thoughts from a Newb

This was my first HubSpot bootcamp, so while I have a huge amount of respect and love for HubSpot, I did not really know what to expect. Having done certifications, training and one on one training I expected quality but didn’t fully understand the power of the group vibe, fast pace and back and forth communication from the instructors and fellow boot camp attendees.

As promised, week one started me on a journey to master the intricacies of managing a HubSpot multi-hub installation. As a mid ‘seasoned’ HubSpot Solution Partner I was looking to enhance my skills, and the HubSpot Academy Super Admin Bootcamp offers a very comprehensive and immersive six-week program. I was ready to receive the knowledge and hands-on experience needed to elevate myself and the team as proficient HubSpot administrators.

Understanding the Challenges:

Taking charge of a HubSpot instance, especially in a multi-hub setting, can be a daunting task. From setting up user permissions and managing records to implementing workflow automation and deploying tools effectively, the challenges are diverse. The Super Admin Bootcamp addresses these challenges head-on, providing participants with the guidance and expertise needed to navigate the complexities of HubSpot administration. While I wasn’t prepared for the fast pace and high energy of the bootcamp - I love it. The instructors were in sync and really dynamic. The interaction from all attendees was wonderful, directly due to the energy and vibe of the HubSpot instructors.

What the Bootcamp Covers:

The Super Admin Bootcamp digs into crucial aspects of HubSpot administration, ensuring that participants gain a holistic understanding of strategy, mindset, and administrative functions.

Here's a glimpse of what I am looking forward to:

  1. Dig into HubSpot Default Settings: Learn the ins and outs of setting default configurations to streamline your HubSpot environment.
  2. Data Management: Master the art of cleaning, importing, and exporting data to maintain a clean and organized database.
  3. Configuration and Security: Understand the importance of configuration and security in a multi-hub installation, ensuring data integrity and user privacy.
  4. Workflows and Sequences: Explore the power of workflow automation and sequences to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  5. Record Customization: Gain insights into customizing records to align HubSpot with the unique needs of your organization or clients.
  6. Object User Management: Learn effective user management strategies, ensuring that the right people have the right access.
  7. Dashboards and Reports: Harness the capabilities of HubSpot dashboards and reports for data-driven decision-making.
  8. Hands-On Learning Experience: This is my favorite part! Throughout the six-week program, certified HubSpot Instructors will guide us through a combination of theoretical knowledge and hands-on activities. This interactive approach allows attendees to apply their learning in a group setting, fostering a deeper understanding of the why, what, and how behind managing a successful HubSpot deployment.

In order to prepare for this bootcamp, I needed to make sure several of my certifications were up to date - this was a great refresher for training I had done last year. I review the training for various HubSpot Academy Certifications, including Marketing Software, Sales Software, Service Software, CMS for Marketers, CMS for Developers, RevOps, and HubSpot Reporting.

I’m not finished with the training yet, but I would already recommend this to others. It’s a great place to equip yourself with the knowledge and confidence to excel in the world of HubSpot administration.
